Application Process & Interviews at Vista Group

Once I applied for the role, I soon got an email back asking for a copy of my academic transcript. I then got invited to a grad day event, where I met other grads and participated in team-based activities which were used to see how we interacted with each other and how well we worked in a team. After that, I had 3 back-to-back "speed" interviews with various people from Vista.

Apply online, group interview, and then individual interview.

CV check, online code assessment (recommended two hours but unlimited time), in person interview #1 (vibe check), in person interview #2 (technical)

The interview process was quite unique. After initial CV screening, shorlisted candidates are invited to Vista HQ for a group interview day. On the day, we are assessed on our communicate, teamwork, critical thinking skills via some interesting exercises. By the end of the day, each candidate was interviewed by three employees from different department of Vista.

A written application was made on Prosple in which I later received an invitation to attend an interview day. The day was a combination of group activities and individual interviews. I had little technical assessments other than explaining past work.

Interview and assessments were a lot of fun, it almost didn't feel like an interview almost more like a friendly chat and catch-up

Consists of a CV screening, and a half-day audition day where it consists of group activities and interviews with past graduates, HR, and managers.

It was first submitting the application then after a while got invitation to an induction day (assessment day). On the day there was first a team activity and three short interview with a product manager, engineering manager, and head of talent acquisition. Finally we had a chance to go around the office and get some coffee : )

Why you would be a good fit at vista? When was your last cinema experience? Why choose Vista? Questions about previous work experience

background (major, interests, etc.), role preferences, interests outside of work, bring and share item that represents me

mostly about myself and my goals, also I was asked about my comfortability with travel.

How would you explain the internet to a young child? What projects have you worked on in the past?

about teamwork and what you want to achieve from your next job

Ah can't remember much. Mostly about my past experiences and projects.

Prepare to speak in front of people.

have good coding basics, be approachable and curious during the interview, learn golang/react

Really work on your CV to pass the initial screening. Having internship experiences is both good for your CV and boost in confidence. Start applying internships during your study as soon as possible. You would make a lot of mistakes and fail in the beginning. You need to take every opportunity to learn from the failures and mistakes.

Be yourself, Vista is very much based on culture. And making sure you are being yourself when applying is important so they can see who you are and if you would fit in the environment.

Understand the company by researching it beforehand as it shows that you care for the company. Also, bring the best and most authentic version of yourself.
