Studying at Massey is a great way to experience the Kiwi lifestyle, explore a beautiful country, and make new friends, all while gaining credit toward your degree. There are a number of different options for you with the Certificate of Proficiency (Student Exchange):

  • National Expedition and Internship - Massey University offers a summer study abroad programme for a wide range of majors.
  • Global Student-Athlete - High performing male and female athletes can enhance their skills, continue their training and conditioning, receive intensive coaching, and play with professional players while studying at Massey University for one or two semesters.
  • Full-Semester Internship - this Internship involves a placement in a media company, for-profit business, community arts agency, sports organisation, governmental department, global non-profit, or with Massey University's Study Abroad and Student Exchange Team.
  • Geology Field Camp - explore New Zealand's geology during the New Zealand summer. This programme covers topics such as quaternary tectonics and sea-level changes, glacial and tectonic geomorphology, volcanology, and geological mapping.

You can choose from a huge range of subjects to study at Massey that will credit toward your degree at your home institution.

Entry requirements

To enter the Certificate of Proficiency (Student Exchange) you will:

  • have completed at least one year of successful university level study in your home country
  • have permission from your home university to undertake study at Massey University
  • have a cumulative GPA for all higher education work of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
