Hard-working employees are always given the recognition and progression opportunities they deserve.

As Halter grows, a larger focus is being placed on areas such as making processes more sustainable. This will be a huge factor in the coming years which is exciting!

Everyone is very welcoming to honest, candid feedback. As an intern, I can give Senior team members new ideas and vice-versa.

The company searches far and wide to hire people from so many different backgrounds and will accommodate the needs of the employee.

No two days are the same! Being on-farm, there is a practical as well as a theoretical aspect which I loved. Jobs would range from carrying out practical tests on-farm or on customer farms for both your and other team members' projects. Meetings would be conducted on a daily basis between software/firmware engineers in order to develop an addiction to the collar. Trips to Auckland would be taken which allows the face to face meetings, relationship building and a good team environment. Responsibilities outside of our designated projects ranged from practical tractor work cleaning up around the offices, to conducting and running farm team days to bridge the gap between Auckland staff and the farm.

Those who I've worked with have been extremely good mentors, they'll listen to you and you'll feel genuinely heard. Extremely honest and not afraid to tell you the truth, will aim to provide you with constructive feedback ASAP.

Halter's new office is EPIC! Right next to Victoria Park in the CBD. Everything is new and the facilities are great with showers, a huge upstairs kitchen etc. The dress code is super laid back.

Very smooth and organized. I was always kept in the loop as to where I was in the process and the overall number of stages, they put candidates through.

I believe pay is driven by data, based on the current market pay for each role so pretty fair I would say.

In my experience, the training has been great. Context is a big thing here and helps with completing projects to a higher standard.

At Halter people are trusted to take full responsibility for their work, so there is no rigid schedule for employees, but instead, a lot of flexibility when it comes to working hours. Every team member is free to decide whenever it is best for them to come to and leave the office, or whether to work from home (although working from the office is encouraged).

Halter is committed to reducing its environmental impact through initiatives such as its soft plastics recycling and e-waste collection. As the company grows, there is a larger focus on reducing this footprint.
