This course was beneficial to my career. It does lead to a multitude of areas to work in.

The locals I met during the village visits and about the town we lived in gave me such a different understanding of the world – it was a great contrast to my suburban life and really grounded me in reality.

By meeting real people who are working under various socio-economic conditions, scale of operation, and stages of the agricultural supply chain, you were able to gain deep knowledge of the sector and its unique problems, successes and points of difference.

Everything you do at university will add to your understanding and lead you down a path that is more suited to you, even if the experience is not for you… now you know!

I loved the people in my internship. We had about 17 other interns, and my team consisted of about 12 people. They were all lovely, and all understood that I was an intern, not a person with years of experience, so the work that they gave me reflected that.

The coolest thing about this experience is the ability to help people, to meet like-minded people and to feel like you made a difference.
