A high effort grade is more important than an A+.

I have been so lucky in my education throughout my life. Without it I would be a completely different person, and seeing such a concrete (sometimes literally) symbol of access to education for someone is genuinely wonderful to me.

Being a Science major, almost all of the technical things I worked on were new to me. Kami has some really dedicated and kind employees who are ready to help whenever you’re stuck or have questions.

Celebrate the small wins: staying positive and focussing on the little things improves your mood and keeps you motivated.

One of the best things about working as an ESL teacher is the gratification you get from seeing kids succeed and enjoy learning.

Pick up a hobby and explore it deeply. Having one activity that you love will help support your healthy and mentality.

There was such a diversity of experiences and knowledge in my cohort. It really did feel like the whakataukī: mā pango, mā whero, ka oti te mahi - nāku te rourou, nāu te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi!

This course was beneficial to my career. It does lead to a multitude of areas to work in.
