What do our Graduate Geotechnical Engineers do? 

As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, you will join a friendly Geo-Professionals Team in Christchurch that focuses mainly on high-profile infrastructure, and dams and hydropower projects, and is involved in disaster response throughout the country.  

We work closely with our colleagues throughout New Zealand, also providing support to international projects as required.  

You will be responsible for 

  • Carrying out site surveys, investigations and feasibility studies for various projects.
  • Producing calculations, assist in drafting specifications and drawings to ensure that technical designs provide appropriate solutions.
  • Supporting specific projects including assisting with planning, budgeting, co-ordination and report writing.
  • Assisting with communication and development of ongoing contracts with clients as required.
  • Organising tender documents, assist in the evaluation of tenders and administration of contracts.

What you will bring 

You will be a recent graduate with a Civil Engineering tertiary qualification ready to kick start your professional engineering career! You are motivated, pragmatic, and have an appetite for learning and gaining experience across various disciplines.  

To be eligible to apply you must: 

  • Have a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) or equivalent in Civil Engineering (or be due to complete in 2025)
  • Preferrable hold a current restricted or full driving licence
  • Working Rights in New Zealand (Student Visa holder, convertible to post study open work visa, Permanent Resident OR Citizen)
