BDO is one of the world’s leading accountancy and advisory organisations. We employ over 900 people in New Zealand alone, spanning 16 locations from Kerikeri to Invercargill. We have clients of all types and sizes, in every sector. But that’s only part of the story.

Our business is built on relationships. We focus on what’s important to you and adopt a partnership-style approach. We’re responsible and reliable, we keep our promises, and maintain open and frank communication. That’s how we do business.

Why BDO

BDO in New Zealand is one of the largest and fastest-growing accounting and advisory networks in New Zealand. We have a strong local presence, together with a global reach and global opportunities. Our values are at the core of who we are and how we work with each other, and with our clients. We deliver ideas and advice that create value, have quality-driven people who are motivated by providing exceptional client service and we are trusted to get the job done.

We value the skills, knowledge, and effort that our people bring to the table

At BDO, we believe that when our people feel valued and rewarded, their potential is unlimited. We offer highly competitive starting salaries and review remuneration packages regularly to ensure that our pay always positively reflects performance.

We recognise that your career with us is just one aspect of your life

We know you want to succeed and life at BDO is about more than just work. We get to know you – we learn what matters to you and we make it our business to back you to realise your goals. Balance is critical.

The Role

We currently have exciting Graduate opportunities in our Christchurch office across our Audit & Assurance, Taxation Services, Business Advisory and Agri-Business Advisory teams. Each of our teams provides personalised services based on our client’s unique needs. We build our service on strong relationships, making sure we understand what’s most important to our clients before we help them with a plan to reach their goals.

We are searching for advisors of the future – a future that is not solely based on numbers but one that requires critical thinking, problem-solving and relationship-building to assist our clients with the future of their business. We're looking for candidates who are working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and will have completed their CA ANZ pre-requisites by the end of 2022 or midyear 2023. But we want to know more than just your qualifications and grades! We want to know what else is important to you outside of your studies, what experiences you have had and what motivates you.

In return, we're offering a workplace like no other in our market, and clients you will love working with. We offer a unique and supportive culture that puts people first – whether that’s professional development, personal fulfilment, work-life balance or a flatter structure that ensures you get access to Partners and clients as soon as you enter our doors.

If you want to take a graduate opportunity that really adds up, apply now with your CV, cover letter and academic transcript.

At BDO Christchurch, we're committed to ensuring the safety of our people, our clients and our visitors. We are a vaccine mandated workplace and require a vaccine pass for entering our premises.

Due to the current border restrictions, applicants must be currently residing and have eligibility to work in New Zealand.
