Lots of formal training which I'm not sure was necessary. A lot of it was reading which is not how I learn - I'm a doer. I think more hands on training would have been better as there are a lot of systems to navigate. My second role has been a lot more chill in terms of training. I have chosen to do some linked in learning modules to help with the role but nothing has been formal.

The graduate training was relatively poor. My team training has been exemplary, very impressed.

Informally, people are very willing to help and lend their expertise. Formally the training is predominately around elearnings, with some calls that help.

Since there is no university training on Mainframe we were given a 7 week intensive course that prepared us well for working with the mainframe
